Frequently Asked Questions
Will my legitimate Web visitors have to match CAPTCHA images, respond to challenge requests or complete any other tests before submitting a form?
Absolutely not. The point of Form Armor is to stop form abuse without abusing your users. Remember the good old days, when Web forms were created to make it easier for users to register and submit information? Wouldn't you like it to be that way again? Form Armor makes that happen.
How does Form Armor work?
When your Web site user submits a form, the form data is immediately processed by the Form Armor software to determine if it's good stuff (customer leads and information that you want) or bad stuff (the spam and malicious entries). Form entries identified as spam are stopped before being sent to your inbox or database, and valid entries are handled in whatever manner you specified for your account.
The entire process happens within milliseconds, much like when you submit credit card information to order products online. Form Armor remains invisible to your users (the folks you like) and creates a shield to protect you against spammers (the folks you don't).
Is Form Armor easy to set up?
Form Armor is extremely easy to set up and use. Since it's a hosted solution, you don't need to install any software or plug-ins, nor do you need to add any lengthy scripts to your forms. For each protected form, you'll only need to change the HTML form action attribute and then remove any form-to-email scripts that might already exist (to prevent spammers from direct posting to your Web site).
A typical Form Armor setup takes just a few minutes per form. If you get stuck or need extra help in activating Form Armor on your Web site, our technical folks will be glad to walk you through the details step-by-step.
For advanced users and more complex applications, we have APIs plus an ASP.NET Web Service available. To learn more about how to integrate Form Armor with your Web site, database or application, please

No questions asked. No hassle. Really.
Will Form Armor work with my Mac, Safari, Linux, Apache, etc.?
Form Armor works with any Web site, any operating system, any browser, any server platform and any programming language. We've worked hard to make using Form Armor as easy as possible for you... and even easier for your users.
What percentage of spam entries will Form Armor stop for my form?
With nearly seven years of form-related spam research under our belts, Form Armor has developed an extremely high level of accuracy in preventing spam, abusive and malicious submissions on all types of Web forms.
Since every form, Web site and application is different, we can't guarantee any specific results for your account or that a few spam messages won't get through from time to time. But if you'll notify us promptly about any spam messages that do slip through, we can continue to refine and improve the Form Armor software to get that number as low as possible for your account.
On the upside, we have several subscribers where Form Armor has continued to stop 100% of spam submissions, with zero false positives, for more than two years. In general, the longer your Form Armor account remains active, the more analysis we can do on spammer activity that's unique to your form, and the more we can improve your results.
